Military Tripods Carbon XS / TACT3 / STATIV 70 The German-made military tripods Carbon XS, TACT3, and STATIV 70 are now also available for civilian customers through IEA MIL-OPTICS in Nagold. These tripods have been used for years by numerous armed forces worldwide, including the German Bundeswehr and the US Army. All tripods are made from non-magnetic and non-magnetizable aluminum or carbon, ensuring reliability in sensitive environments. Target acquisition is then achieved via the ball adjustment. By removing the retaining nut at the bottom of the telescopic tube, the mast (with head) can be removed. The integrated ground spike can then be inserted, allowing use as a monopod.
